GREEN VISION 2011 Results

 

Santhosh K.Jana of West Bengal bagged First Prize-  (Rs.10000)   for his photo titled, ‘ Dogs with Kill’ in the Eighth All India Nature Photographic Competition conducted by Greens, viz GREEN VISION 2011.

B.S.Biju, Thiruvananthapuram and   Rithwik- Chennai got Second Prize (Rs.5000) and Third Prize  (Rs.3000) (below), respectively. 

    
A total of 362 entries have been received from 90 photographers all over India. The panel of judges consisted of 5 members of eminent nature and wildlife photographers.

  The selected 102 photographs will be catalogued and the catalogue will be send to all the participants. The selected photos will also be exhibited at the Museum Auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram from 22.11.2011 to 26.11. 2011. The winners will be honoured and  the awards will be distributed on 26.11.2011 at the Museum auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram.

 
 

Comment of the Jury

The quality of most of the photographs received is outstanding. It was a tough task for the judges to select the best.102 photos were selected in the preliminary round and out this 15 photographs were selected in the second round. Marks were independently awarded to each of the 15 photographs by the jury members and best 8 photographs were selected for awards.
